IT’S BEEN A GOOD MONTH SO FAR
For those of you who haven’t been following the happenings surrounding EYEWALL and its author (that would be me) the past week or so, allow me to bring you up to date.
A BEST SELLER
First, the novel has reached legitimate best-seller status for Amazon’s Kindle. EYEWALL broke into the top 100 and soared to number 9 on July 8th. It’s currently hovering around 40, but is still number 1 for romantic suspense.
So now I’m a bona fide best-selling author. Which sends my wife into gales of laughter. “Best selling?” she says. “You? I couldn’t sell you if I tied a steak around your neck. You’re old and you’re crotchety.”
And you wonder why I feel like Rodney Dangerfield.
A CONTEST
Second, there’s a fun contest underway. If you’d like to win a signed copy of EYEWALL–and simultaneously test your hurricane forecasting skills–go to the Neverending Book Giveaway on the International Thrillers Writers Website and search for “It’s Hurricane Season.” Then predict away.
A NEW NOVEL
And third (yes, there’s more), the same day EYEWALL roared to to number 9 on Amazon’s Kindle list, I signed a contract with Belle Bridge Books for my next novel, THE KOLTSOVO LEGACY, a bioterrorism thriller set in Atlanta. Here’s the tease:
A psychopathic terrorist is about to unleash weaponized Ebola, The Black Death of the 21st century, on the U.S.
Only Richard Wainwright holds the key to stopping the attack. And he’s wounded, wanted for murder and being hunted by a German hit-woman.
THE KOLTSOVO LEGACY isn’t about a hurricane, but I think it will be every bit the page-turner that EYEWALL is.
